April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and YSC of Greater Philadelphia would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their hard work and dedication.  Whether you volunteered at an event, served hot dogs at the AT&T National, assembled Newly Diagnosed Resource Kits, staffed a table at a health fair, coordinated a fundraiser, or spoke on our behalf -- we THANK YOU!  A special recognition to our leadership team members Julia Tiernan, Kim Hagerich, Alice Hope, Jackie Roth Kern, Jaclyn Davies, Jeannine Donahue, and Jodi Inverso who oversee our Affiliate's activities.   

Social Event for Young Women Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer

Young women living with metastatic breast cancer, please join us on Tuesday, April 24 for a purely social event!  Bring a friend and enjoy a free dinner and speaker on meditation and mindfulness at the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia.  Dinner begins at 6PM with the speaker at 7:15PM  Please RSVP by April 17 so we can provide enough food!  Learn more»

Register NOW for "Making Peace with Your Body" Retreat

All young breast cancer patients and survivors are invited to a one-day retreat called "Making Peace with Your Body" on Saturday, April 28th starting at 10 a.m. facilitated by Pasha Hogan.  More details on our website. This retreat will feature yoga, art, and meditation.  Space  is limited, please register.  Thank you to the Dolfinger McMahon Foundation for their grant that enables us to hold the Retreat. 

YSC Philly Co-Founder to be Honored at Komen Luncheon

Kim Hagerich, co-founder of YSC of Greater Philadelphia will be the YSC of Greater Philadelphia honoree at the Komen Survivor Luncheon on Sunday, April 22nd.  Congrats Kim!  All survivors signed up for the Race for the Cure are invited to attend the Luncheon free of charge.  Come out to cheer on Kim!
